June 19th. It all begins then.
It’s been a dream of mine to travel the world for as long as I can remember. I’ve had many a beer with friends, strangers and passers by where at some point, the topic of conversation will change to travelling and inevitably, I’d say something like “I want to travel the world and see it all”. Then, I will immediately carry on with my life and do nothing about this dream.
I also recall a conversation I once had with a colleague who asked me what my ‘thing’ is. Some guys answered with responses like sport, and the like. I clearly remember at the time being quite concerned that I didn’t have a ‘thing’. But I couldn’t have been more wrong. I live to travel. In fact, I can’t remember a day where I don’t randomly Google some strange place to see and explore.
It all starts on the 19th of June. The resignation is in and the planning is underway.
In the spirit of trying something new, i’m going to try and document my journey, both from the beginning planning phase through to the adventure itself. I’ll still send postcards, because i’m weird like that though 🙂
If you’re reading this, I hope you enjoy my random posts. At the least, I hope it brings a smile to your faces and possibly even motivates someone out there to go and see something new, eat something different, and explore something strange.

Hi there Marc! I will be starting with Iceland for the summer and then I am not sure… Might be Europe or the United States. Will see.
